Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy is a focused, deeply relaxed state — closer to a long, intentional daydream than to anything theatrical. In that state, the protective, vigilant part of the mind softens, and the deeper, body-listening part becomes available. It's where fear loosens its grip, where new patterns are learned faster, and where the body remembers it knows how to rest.

It isn't sleep, it isn't being "under," and you stay fully in control. What it does do — reliably — is quiet the nervous system enough for real change to take root.

Childbirth preparation

Most labor pain is amplified by fear — fear tightens muscles, slows dilation, and triggers the cascade of interventions women want to avoid. Hypnotherapy rehearses a different blueprint: a calm, confident body meeting sensation as information, not threat. Research on hypnobirthing methods consistently shows lower pain ratings, shorter labors, fewer interventions, and higher birth satisfaction. You don't lose awareness; you arrive prepared.

Continuous, calm presence through labor and the early postpartum hours. As a nurse and a doula, I understand both sides of the room — I work alongside your medical team, never against them.

Includes prenatal visits to build the relationship, on-call availability around your due date, in-person labor support, and a postpartum visit to debrief and check in.

Prenatal Bodywork

Hands-on relief for the very physical realities of pregnancy: pelvic discomfort, low back pain, sciatica, ribcage tension, and swelling.

Sessions use pregnancy-safe positioning and gentle techniques. The aim is straightforward — to make the last trimester feel less like endurance and more like preparation.
